As creatives studying biology, it’s important to examine the spaces where your ideas are born, shaped, and shared. Your environment can either help you focus and flourish—or distract and discourage you. Think about your personal space—your room, desk, journal, or digital files—as a kind of creative laboratory. Is it a place that helps you reflect and explore ideas freely? Then consider the shared space—places where you collaborate, present, or publish your work. Are you using these spaces to communicate clearly and confidently? Finally, what about your inspiration space—those mood boards, playlists, nature walks, or favorite museums that fill your creative tank? A good balance between inspiration and practicality starts with knowing how each space helps you grow. Be intentional about how you use them, and let them reflect your unique blend of science and creativity. For this thought exercise I invite you to identify and “pin” what would make your personal, collaborative, and public spaces more ideal. You should end up with 8
