Nicole Doran’s Favorite Christmas Arrangements most accessible to least!

What family doesn’t like to sing Christmas Carols and actually know the words?

This is a great book to have around each year. It explains Chord harmonizing patterns. It has words so people can just sing with you once you memorize the tune. There is a ranking of easy to harder carols and a variety of nations and traditions represented. I can’t wait to hear some of these come to life this December.

These are my favorite way to spark student’s creativity with lead sheets!

Flute is a really beautiful sound for Christmas and this simple one gets to the heart of the message.

Is your family ensemble on the low mellow side with one stunning violinist or flute player? Check out this arrangement that we loved playing!

“Come Thou Long Expected Jesus” is woven into a duet version of the popular Bach Cello Suites. I just learned that it was Pablo Casals who my teacher studied under that brought these baroque beauties to the concert stage and now I feel even more connected to the family tree of classical music. Plenty of people like to sneak hints of Christmas in everywhere: https://www.sheetmusicplus.com/en/product/bach-cello-suite-one-duet-21801501.html
