Discovering Joy in Music: A New Mozart Arrangement and a First Step for Moms
This month, I’m embarking on a special project close to my heart: arranging Mozart’s Violin Sonata in E Minor for my daughter. This sonata, one of the few pieces Mozart composed in a minor key, was written during a time of profound grief following the loss of his mother. Its haunting beauty reflects both sorrow and resilience, reminding us how music can hold space for our deepest emotions.
As a musician and a mom, bringing this piece to life in a new arrangement for my daughter feels like a way to connect her to both Mozart’s genius and the timeless healing power of music.
But this isn’t just about me; it’s about you too.
As moms, we’re often so focused on our families that we forget to nurture our own dreams. If you’ve always wanted to learn an instrument—or you’re thinking about giving your kids the gift of music—February is the perfect time to take that first step.
Why Now?
• Music speaks to the soul. Mozart’s Violin Sonata in E Minor is a testament to how music can transform grief into beauty. Imagine discovering music that speaks to you, too.
• It’s never too late to start. Whether it’s voice, piano, or keyboard lessons, you’re never too old or too busy to begin.
• Your children will be inspired. By pursuing your musical dreams, you show them the courage to follow their own.
