Everyone needs refreshment on their musical mountain adventure. I have found 2 great musicians to collaborate with and who will help me premier my own work for bassoon and piano based on the Psalm 13-16. Their names are Dr. Ronda Benson Ford, flute and Emma Anderson, piano. They both are passionate for ensemble playing, skillful, nuanced and easy to work with.
With pieces by Beethoven, Debussy, Schocker, and more, we can’t wait to perform this July. Thanks to two generous donors, we are 20% funded.
Music is a gift of God, meant to be enjoyed in a beautiful setting. Churches are a sanctuary for people who need connections, beauty, and inspiration in the summer months. We will use the funds to support the musicians’ artist fees and the hosting church’s music ministry budget. People who want to enjoy the musical arts at their local church and invite friends will have a free place to enjoy a summer concert in July.
We can seize the summer not just to grow beautiful flowers but to cultivate a long lasting love of ensemble playing.
